The RM 011, a fixture of the Richard Mille collection since 2007, is now retiring. It is retiring at the height of its popularity to make way for the new RM 11-03 Automatic Flyback Chronograph. Richard Mille’s guiding

principle was to infuse the new automatic RMAC3 movement with a 3-D quality and to visually accentuate its complexity. The glossy beveled edge marking the intermediate times surrounds the coloured counters of the flyback chronograph and the seconds window, giving it depth. This sense of volume is further emphasised by the satin-brushed grade 5 titanium upper bridge, which contrasts with the movement, which is also made of titanium but with a PVD coating. This creates a visual itinerary around the annual calendar with its outsize date, and the 12-hour counter and countdown function of the flyback chronograph.
